The Second Edition of the Nautic Tech 2019, the International Investment Forum of the Nautical Industry starts today. Global open call for the best startups of the nautical industry to apply to the Nautic Tech International Investment Forum 2019, organized by Seed&Click and Salón Náutico of Barcelona. Seed&Click, private investor’s network, invites you to the first Nautic Tech International Investment Forum of the nautical sector. The main objective of this event is to promote entrepreneurship, encouraging investment, commercial transactions and incubate innovative new projects of the nautical industry.   The event will be held on October 10th, 2019 in Barcelona at Espai de Mar, in the framework of the Salón Nautico de Barcelona, and along a day of activities the attendants will enjoy  keynotes that will exchange views on themes such as innovation and technology in the industry sector; new materials and finally they will share their visions of the future of the nautical industry. Demo Day is the culminating event of a six-month program where Antler's portfolio companies will take centre stage to pitch their businesses in order to secure external seed investment. Only the top 3% of exceptional individuals from MedTech to AI to EdTech will be taken. Startups span industries and sectors and all the founders are experts in their field, coming from a combination of technical and business backgrounds. They are all led by experts in their fields with 33% of companies having at least one female co-founder and 61% of founders being serial entrepreneurs. In addition to the startup pitches, there will be an expo hall for networking opportunities with the startups, VIPs and an acclaimed keynote speaker. Women are underrepresented in Angel investing around the world. It is estimated that in the UK women hold 45% of wealth but only 14% of UK Business angels are women. In Ireland, this issue is more pronounced where only 8% of active angels within HBAN are women. As part of their commitment to encouraging diversity in the start-up and angel investment ecosystem, HBAN are hosting a female investor masterclass on Wednesday 20th at 5.30 pm, in Mason Hayes & Curran. The masterclass will include an introduction to HBAN's network, a panel discussion with new and experienced investors and pitches from early stage, innovative start-ups to give attendees an idea of what HBAN has to offer. This will be followed by a drinks reception and networking. The goal of this event is to encourage women to become more active as angel investors in Ireland.
